PARIS, Mar. 22—(UP)—Fresh tales of aligned persecution and torture are being brought into France by frightened refugees streaming across the German border ahead of the anit-Jewish storm under the Hitlerite regime on the other side of the Rhine.

The refugees are arriving in increasing numbers. One traveller, described Germany as divided in half. This informant said:

LURID CONTRAST
"The jubilance of half the populace, flushed with victory and power, contrasts luridly with the sullen resentment and hatred of the other half. Lest the millions of communists, socialists, liberal Catholics, Jews and democrats attempt to strike back the 'Brown terror' was hurled against enemies in the regime."

Describing the start of the "panic," another refugee said:

"The panic started as a rivulet just after Hitler's appointment to the chancellorship on January 30. A few hundred, later thousands, who knew their names to be on Hitler's blacklist and recalled his threat that 'heads will roll in the
