BERLIN—AP)—Mrs. Sinclair Lewis, who writes under her maiden name of Dorothy Thompson, today was ordered by the secret police to leave Germany within 24 hours.

The banishment order against the wife of the Nobel prize winner was based on her alleged hostile attitude toward Germany.

Mrs. Lewis recently has written many magazine articles on Germany and the Hitler movement.
