- WASHINGTON, Dec. 12. (U.P.)— A joint declaration by the United Nations regarding the slaughter and the persecution of Jews in Europe may result from discussions now in progress, it was learned today.
Maxim Litvinoff, the Soviet ambassador, conferred with Undersecretary of State Sumner Welles and it was understood that the the[sic] question of a joint declaration was discussed. - History Unfolded Contributor
