Description The newspaper microfilm collection at the Ohio County Public Library includes reels from the Wheeling Daily Intelligencer (1852-present) and the Wheeling News-Register (1863-present). Microfilm may be viewed at the Library. The entire run of the Intelligencer is also freely available through OCPL online at http://ohiocountywv.advantage-preservation.com/. Digitization of The Wheeling News-Register has begun and expected to be completed to the present in 2022. Access to other circa 1930s & 1940s West Virginia newspapers (Beckley, Bluefield, Charleston, Keystone, & Morgantown) is available at the public computers and over the Library's wifi through NewspaperARCHIVE.com.
