Article Text
Jerusalem. July 6—(AP)—Reports reaching here today said an unnamed ship carrying Jews intending to enter Palestine as illegal immigrants had burned near Greek Mediterranean Islands.

The passengers and crew were saved by an Italian warship, the reports said. The Jews were described as being from greater Germany and were returned to their port of embarkation.

Now I figure that people are a lot more valuable than steers.—R. M. Hammond, Memphis realtor, urging admission of German refugees.
