- LONDON, June 4.—The massacre of Jews by means of the gas chamber has been speeded up in Poland through enlargement of such lethal plants it was said in Polish circles here Friday.
A report accepted as reliable says the Germans are using chambers equipped to snuff out the lives of 700 persons at one time. Execution is said to take 45 minutes, including the preliminary shaving of hair, which is used for industrial purposes. Train-loads of victims from Bulgaria are believed to have been taken to the Treblinka camp where there are gas chambers that can handle as many as 7,000 executions daily. - History Unfolded Contributor
